I don’t need to mention that we’re in strange days, and many of us are working from home or simply not working. I closed the office when I realized that the situation truly warranted not coming into contact with one another for a while. Currently, my county in Texas (Tarrant) is in a “shelter in place” circumstance.
The experience of existing on the planet during such a time as this certainly gives pause and thought about meaning and purpose. And the value of people; those we know and those we don’t. We’re all family, really.
As someone who actually enjoys my time alone, it’s not been too uncomfortable. I have a deck for the warm days and plenty of books to read and projects for the rainy days, and my cat. And I’ve been doing a sort of slow thinking process that involves as much feeling as thinking; I’m not sure how to explain exactly what that process is, but it’s enough to say it’s how I get quiet within so that I can sense the spirit moving me. I highly recommend it; in your own unique way, of course.
And I’m want to offer you something new: Remote Sessions (via phone or Zoom, your choice).
With a sensitive sense of awareness and a sort of energetic touch, we can accomplish many of the same goals of a hands-on session without being in physical contact. It’s simply a matter of focused attention and awareness, a willingness to engage, a willingness to receive, and a bit of skill in working in all the usual ways minus physical touch. Experience and study of multiple modalities enables me to help you in this way to improve whole-body health and performance and reach an optimal state of harmony within the body/mind/spirit.
How does this kind of session work?
There are a couple of ways to approach this. We can connect either via text, phone or Zoom, your choice. It can be as simple as a text in the beginning to check in so you can relay your concerns and/or a text at session end to follow up. Or we can talk on the phone or via Zoom video so you can share your concerns. “How are you feeling today?” is a familiar question that I’ll still be asking. The session will then proceed into a relaxation phase where you can lie or sit comfortably as I offer healing energy. We can maintain voice connection throughout or you may simply drift off (I’ll text you at session end in this case).
If you choose Zoom, you can can join our session for free from your phone, desktop, mobile or tablet devices. You do not need a Zoom account in order to use it for our sessions. Zoom will enable us to see each other while we talk. If you are not tech savvy don’t worry, it’s pretty simple. I recommend you check it out online to get a feel for it at Zoom.us.
What will it feel like?
While the experience will be highly individual, many people experience feeling of relaxation, peace, floating, and/or awareness of changes in the tissue as areas of the body release tension patterns and/or stored emotions.
For the best experience, please hydrate yourself prior to the session and choose a relaxed, quite area where you won’t be disturbed and rest afterward.
How long does it take?
These sessions are 45 minutes.
Great, how much will this cost, you ask?
A session is $75. During the pandemic: If your income has been affected, please call me to schedule. I hope to enable everyone who needs some care to access it.
Once we have moved beyond these days, I’ll keep this type of session available if that seems appropriate.
