For those of you who follow me, you’ll know that the phrase “deep & simple” means a lot to me in both practical life and spiritual matters. I’ve long been refining and reaching for the essence. It’s the essence of the thing that matters most.
To paraphrase Bo Lozoff, human life is deep and the predominate lifestyle is not.
You’ll also be aware that I’ve been teaching Reiki Level I and II in a single day workshop for several years. That was the result of simplifying and getting to the essence of the practice so that everyone could learn it deeply without a lot of extras or add-ons.
And it worked!
Through the years, I’ve taught so many wonderful people with open hearts to use this simple, elegant healing art to address both the physical and the sacred healing that needs done in the world. Through that experience the class became deeper and simpler . . .and richer.
That richness has created a desire to break the classes out into two parts again to allow a more relaxed experience and more time to mine the gold of discussion of Reiki and of hands-on practice time in the workshops. And also to make space for new Reiki Masters to grow.
So Reiki Level I will be a one-day workshop. And Reiki Level II will be a shorter class immediately following the Reiki Shares that practitioners participate in. If you learn Reiki I, then you can come to the Share. If you want to Learn Reiki Level II (distance healing), then you sign up for the Class as well as the Share on the same day. Being in the Share just prior to the class will give you the opportunity to dive into both giving and receiving Reiki just before we settle into the learning and attunement of Level II. You’ll be in the company of seasoned practitioners and other newbies during the Share, and that will bolster the energy around you as you move into the next level.
I think this will enhance the learning experience all around. And also provide opportunities for Reiki Master aspirants to develop some teaching and mentoring skills along the way.
So while this does spread out of the classes, it is also honors the “deep & simple” philosophy as it expands the ease of the learning time, and allows for the development of new Reiki Masters in the simplest and most deeply engaged way I can think of.
Blessings to you all. I hope to see you in a Reiki Class or Share.
